It's the Simple Things

Sometimes a re-holder is all it takes to help you see a coin in new light.

One of my coins from ATS had suffered a beating before it came into my possession--the holder was scratched, and even the CAC sticker had seen better days. It recently returned from re-holdering as well as re-stickering and now looks better than ever.

Has anyone else ever had this reaction?

I share your sentiment. I have several slabs that are scratched up. Eventually I’ll have them reholdered. I’ve tried several of the tricks people have suggested like the headlight lens cleaner....didn’t make any difference what so ever.
Your coin looks great in the new holder!

But it's still in the wrong holder. :/ It's not really fixed. :(

Would it help if the other coin I posted tonight was PCGS? I have coins from both that I am very happy with.

The coin looks great in the new holder... You should have kept a 'before' picture for comparison.... Cheers, RickO

Looks sweet. Where I prefer PCGS, I still don't mind NGC if the holder is in good order and I like the coin...

Simply beautiful coin and looks great overall in new holder ..... no matter; you've put a lot of effort on getting it done. Congrats! :)

Looks great but I would have just polished and buffed the old slab.

Thank you, everyone! If I had taken @ricko 's suggestion and had a "before" photo, you would understand the difference.
