Fun working silver find. Good of you @SanctionII to put it into retirement.

Nice change find... and a well deserved retirement....Being older than that coin, I can attest to the wear and tear that comes with aging.... though I combat it with physical exercise and mental activities.....I will say though, the minor issues that come with age, are preferable to the alternative.... ;) Onward we go... Cheers, RickO

I got a 1943 quarter back in change yesterday from the local Hallmark. Lots of silver in the place, but I never expected any to come from the register.

Cool. It's truly mindboggling when you try and imagine where this little fella has traveled. Did it visit every State in the Union? I would guess it did. Mexico? Overseas? Nice pickup.

    Lightning strikes again.

Today I received a 1943 P silver war nickel in change.

Now all I need is to receive a 1943 D nickel and I will have a complete set from 1943.

It had been years upon years since I had received any silver war nickle in change and now I have received 2 of them in less than 3 weeks.

Well sounds like I need to start buying local with cash and maybe I can get lucky also. LOL.

Wonder if that and the 1934 quarter on another post are from National Coin Week from dealer releases?
