I hate when YN's get microscopes.......oh the pain.

Also grab a pair of Leuchturm white gloves in the coin hobby section of Hobby Lobby. Great protection while fondling your coins.
Another tool:
-neodymium magnet
A very quick way to see if you have a CF coin.

The microscope wont work with Windows 10.
Send it back, get a refund and then 10 years from now, if you are still collecting (I hope you are ) buy a new one.
It is always a hoot to look at coins with a scope but it takes you places you probably won't want to be...minutia in coins is a paranoia. LOL.
I use a Plugable usb microscope that connects to my S8. Works great and only $30.

For me, a magnifying glass.... or eye loupe.... and yes, I do have a digital scale and magnets...and a micrometer... Mostly, I just use my Zeiss 3/6/9 loupe though.... Cheers, RickO
For me, the best tool I use to ensure the coins I buy are not counterfeit is a PCGS Submission Form.
