Well, it's a 1:1 exchange rate, so you didn't come out behind (other than having to go to the Bahamas to use it).

I would think that 9 out of ten cashiers in the US would not look twice and take it. There are so many different versions of the twenty five cent coin in circulation presently.
by my count you scored 22 Cents.
Unfortunately, the Bahamas coin has virtually no value. You just lost 25 cents. (I have also gotten stuck with those in change.)
I don't suppose that the Lowell quarter is a "W".

Not a bad little haul.
The story alone is worth $0.25. Nice design too. Keep it and tell the story.
I collect art and this was worth the .25 change exchange anyone who would think its a loss. Maybe to them but to me it filled my mind with the American dream and the distance it traveled. D sign is cool too

That is a nice quarter design..... I have been to Bermuda - years and years ago....do not think I have any coins from there....it was a short visit. Did you check that Lowell quarter for the W?? Cheers, RickO
congrats on your 3,000th post, are you going to give the quarter away in a drawing?

we buy non-PM foreign coins for three cents each and sell for five cents. there are regulars who come in and pick through everything, some guys seem to be trying to get a coin from every Country on earth, or something else only they know. stuff like what you found is interesting to find, it usually gets into the system in rolls and only gets out of the system when somebody actually pays attention to their change.
I think if you went to any large retailer regularly, like WalMart, you would eventually get something like this in change. coming to a coin shop wouldn't be as personally satisfying but it might be cheaper and quicker.
