No. the decision was made years ago that the 2021 Summer show would be back in Chicago.

If the shows continue to shrink, the 2025 one might be held in the back of someone's van.

The PNNA board was campaigning for Portland for the National Money Show 2021, but we were informed by the ANA that it was a close second.

They should consider for 2022. Omaha, and San Diego
ANA shows have been to both before but a long time ago.

Omaha. NB. is central for everyone and San Diego, CA in August is beautiful
and a great west coast city. comic con there every year over 50K attend.

    Enough of Chicago!

This came up a few years back, but it's still true. It's not about where the ANA wants to have the shows, but what show venues want the ANA. It's nice that there were several offers - there was a time when we would be lucky to get two.

For a convention/visitors bureau its less about the rental fee for a hall then the entire package - banquets, room nights, catering - all those things the ANA doesn't buy.

For a normal convention, the vendors buy hospitality suites and catering for them. Vendors and participants fly in, rent hotel rooms, pay for room service meals, on-site parking for their rental cars. They buy lots of services from the venue. You don't just buy the exhibition space, you guarantee a certain $ of ancillary services and take-or-pay for a block of room nights.

Coin dealers drive-in, park in cheap lots outside the hotel, sleep two or three to a room at unrelated hotels, etc. we're just not good business for most venues.

Clearly, the ANA is not ComicCon... but read this for the economic impact of a major show: https://www.kpbs.org/news/2019/jul/19/business-report-san-diego-keep-comic-con-through-2/
