Cast counterfeit? Wire brush? Sustained exposer to running water and sand?

But don't quote me on that... :D

I like the torch idea. Looks like melting and moving of metal in a stream of gasses....

Problem is, I'd expect some charring...which I guess could have been scrubbed off.

So, I bought a hoard ... this , and a few other strange looking anomalies are in the batch. The old woman had these separated from the rolls and rolls of Mercury dimes. I'll post a couple more stranger things, later.

    That's an odd one, too.

I'll go with "struck by lightning". :)

Might be interesting to know if anyone attached to these worked in an industrial setting. Torches, high voltage sparks....Maybe some experimentation during times of boredom??

This one looks like heat. Note round silver granules. First is excessive whizzing. It builds up "waves" as these.

A couple of cents which were separate from their flock, too.

So, what'd ya think of this ?

Should I start a new thread titled :

    What's this ?

I wasn't trying to change course with the announcement I got in my email , yesterday, as posted above.
Yet, as a seller on eBay... this looks like an added benefit to buyers who are not sure if what they're buying is "questionable" or "gradeable".

    Good news ?

    First reaction - it sucks.
Few minutes later - why not. Can't hurt my sales.

Start a new thread at your peril Sir.

The NGC attempt at making money should definitely be a new thread.

I want to see more completely crazy coins that looked like they were at the Nevada test site. Have any of these been checked for radioactivity?

Wow! I suggested this concept to PCGS months ago. I am glad someone is doing a photo review. Clever of them to implement this, as it will create a lot more brand recognition for the folks ATS.
