Just added a beautiful Washie to my sets......not for the faint of heart.

I love this type of tone...nice and original...not for all I understand. Great strike and mark free surfaces. Thanks for looking and as always comments welcome.

I too love this type of toning. It always makes me think it just got a little rusty.
I have a coin with similar toning. Your Washington set must be spectacular. Need to upgrade my 63-67 set.

Well Jon...they do not need to have the BW sticker....
Still.. it is a 66...good acquisition. Cheers, RickO
I'd have given it a quick dip, but to each their own!
Mint set tone doesn't dip off well, usually.
It’s not for me but, I guess every coin has a collector.
I like original toning from mint sets. Adds a layer of history/provenance to these coins that a blast white can't...nothing against blast white- I like those too, yet, originality has a certain degree of mystique that a blast white can't touch.
Nice coin.
For some reason 1954-D mint set quarters show up quite often with the reddish orange toning.
On some coins it is bright red --really unusual.

Nice one...
