Surprisingly, Newman was never that excited about his federal coins. He enjoyed them a few years and then got deeply involved in colonial numismatics. Hard to believe, with coins like this.

Bruce....one of my favorite coins. I actually bought this as a "put away coin" from Carter Numismatics when I was at Stacks Bowers and Laura called me up a few months later and wrestled it away for a customer. Congrats!
