Maybe 20. I purge them every year or two.

Too many to count. Probably blocked a few good ones in the process, but most were easy decisions.

About two hundred but I'm sure several aren't valid any longer. I've been on eBay for over 20 years and sold a lot of stuff in categories like video games and beanie babies (yes really) which were a lot more susceptible to unreliable bidders. My experience has been that coin buyers are a much better lot.

I just had toolhaus check my blocked bidder list & results are in:

" The box below contains 415 valid User IDs"

BTW...I've been accumulating d.b's for 10+ years. about 60% are from forum referrals. If anyone is interested in my list..just send me a PM

Nice toolhaus tool, didn't know it existed.

"325 Invalid User IDs Found - The box below contains 701 valid User IDs.
This list may be copied and pasted into eBay's Blocked Bidder list."

With this I was able to remove all of the invalid User ID's from my list. Cool.

    5,000

If you don't wish to sell to certain eBay members, you can put them on your blocked list. Members on that list will be unable to bid on any of your listings until you remove them from the list. You can block up to 5000 User ID

Why block buyers from purchasing your coins? Sounds slightly odd to me to give up business.

The fact that so many of you have so many blocked ID's without a doubt convinces me that the decision I made in 2011 to stop selling on ebay was the correct one. Combination of questionable buyers and ebay fees, thanks for re-affirming my correct decision.

No matter what you are selling or the service you are providing there are some people that are just not worth dealing with for any amount of money.

While I agree with you there are the 1% that you just can't please. About once or twice per year I have to call the police to have customers removed for disorderly conduct. No amount of money is worth dealing with them. I pride myself on my customer service and have been in customer service related jobs for many years. I don't like to turn someone away but some customers leave you very little choice.

What kind of business do you run?

  • amwldcoinamwldcoin Posts: 11,269 ✭✭✭✭✭

Because if you are a top rated seller you pay shipping both ways. On lesser priced coins that is the 1 strike and you are out on making a profit.
