Found my very first silver quarter!

I was thrilled to pull this one out of the quarter machine at the laundromat. I've kept my eye out for silver but never expected to find any!
I had no idea they were so beautiful in person 😍 out of $15 in quarters, it stood out immediately.
Im sure it's not the million dollar find, but I just wanted to share my joy with you all because my fiance looks at me like I'm crazy haha

@MiBellita .... Great find, silver is out there, but scarce....Your silver quarter is worth about $3.50.... changes with the melt value of silver.... Cheers, RickO

    Congratulations!

It never gets old - your first one - your 10th one - it will always be exciting.

Make sure to always check the Coinstar reject slot in the supermarket if they have one there - silver is rejected in those machines. And get the fiance trained to also look when they go. ;) Even better than finding free silver is when someone else brings you free silver. :D

The only silver coins I have found in recent years have come from Coinstar machine reject slots. I can't even recall the last time I received a silver coin in change.

I've yet to find anything from the Coin Hunt. I did release a bunch of clad proofs, IHCs and V-Nicks by way of vending machines and such.

Congrats on the silver. As others have said, any free silver is good silver.

Hi and Welcome To School! I say school because you'll be taught in many areas such as in coins, manners, ethics and in business. I can see the coin hobby has bitten you already by posting your first Silver find. Very cool find! That Washington quarter date so happens to be the last year the Mint minted Silver coins in the wild. Being on our forum, you must remember a couple of things. #1 don't be a stranger, post often with any questions.#2 the most important thing is to have FUN! Once again, Welcome to our forum.-joey ;)

A silver coin found is more exhilarating than a comparable silver coin bought.

Drop your silver quarter on the folding table at the laundromat.
You will never forget the sound of money....
