Need the Lowell W quarter? Follow this tip.......

Just so everyone will know, I found all of my Lowell W quarters in the new rolls of the American Memorial Park Quarter and zero found in circulated rolls. Searched $600 face value new Memorial rolls and found 41 Lowell W.

That's odd.
I found my only 2 Lowells in mixed circulated roll of quarters.

Guessed 1 of you guys missed it?

It has been pointed out in numerous threads that the Lowell Ws are not in the Lowell P & D rolls. The Ws were struck after the release of the P & Ds and were put in the Mariana Memorial Park P & D rolls. However, I have searched a lot of Mariana boxes/rolls and have found the rolls contain either the lowell W or the Mariana W, never both together.

request rolls or $500 boxes from your bank/credit union. You have to take what they give you. If you're lucky you'll get something that has Ws. If not keep trying. . . . . .

Holy Moly!! That’s like $10,000 worth of quarters. How many W’s did you get outta that?

Also, I like the Fluke meter on the shelf. I’m an industrial electrician by trade (actually I’m the manager of a fairly large company now and don’t do too much work anymore ). I have three of them in my box. The best heavy duty meters out there.

only three of those boxes had any Ws. Mostly recycled quarters. Unless you get lucky and get a full fresh box of the new P or Ds, finding a W is a lot of work.

Wow... I have not nearly looked at that many quarters yet.... Looks like I have a lot of searching to do... Especially since I will not do it in such a major fashion.... Cheers, RickO

Note that the American Memorial rolls will have either Lowell or American Memorial W's, but not both at the same time. Just finished a bank box of Mariana American Memorials, scored 91 Lowell W's.

You have to take what the bank gives you (rolls or boxes). Sometimes new coins, sometimes recycled quarters.

Like pappy used to say, "some days peanuts, some days shells.
