Is it time for the grading services to bring back high resolution photo certificates?

With the deluge of slab and sticker "enhancements," is it time for the grading services to bring back high resolution photo certificates that leave additional room for new stickers? I envision something like a laminated old ANACS photo certificate with enough room for each major sticker company (CAC, PQ, Eagle Eye, Wings, etc.) to leave its mark much like a Chinese "chop mark" certifying its willingness to leave a published bid for the coin. The certificate would be in addition to, not in lieu, of the slab.
I mean this as a serious question and not as a joke. It is hard to see variety and pattern information through stickers and some of them could easily have three or more (e.g. CAC, PQ, and Eagle Eye, etc.).

I prefer the slab and TrueView. I would like the TV to be expanded to show variety info and maybe even a close-up of the variety.
The True View could absolutely be the front of the certificate with information on the reverse.
Does anyone take the other stickers seriously? Other than CAC?
I would like to see the TPS's offer of a photo and written opinion as both our host and ATS offered a few years ago-I believe it was $80. I don't believe it is even offered any more. Too expensive in my growing years, but I certainly would be willing to pay for an informed opinion on a few coins today.
Slabs, grades, degree of a grade, stickers.....serve several purposes.... authentication, level of quality, support (Or lack thereof) for the quality decision, market pricing, status symbols and an overall attempt to bring some level of standardization to the coin market. Where will it end? I do not have the answer, but wait patiently for the 'next new thing' to be added to the grading/marketing game. The OP could well be foretelling such a thing. I look on with amusement and a little sadness. While some things are beneficial, others are really 'window dressing'...Carry on... Cheers, RickO
I don't even take CAC seriously. It's all just marketing hype.
I could have sworn you’d posted to the effect that you’re not a CAC basher. If you did, the above indicates that you aren’t quite true to your word.

I'm not bashing them as much as just stating an opinion.
Got it - your opinion is that “it’s all just marketing hype” but you’re not bashing them. I’d hate to see what you think constitutes bashing.

I'd prefer that the whole business concentrate on standards, consistent, accurate "grading," and empirical measurements as much as possible.
If it's not a marketing ploy. What would you call it Mark....when sellers want all of their coins stickered so that they bring more money and a lot of buyers have bought into the hype of the almighty JA! So they will spent more for the coin because of the sticker. I'm just not in that herd of sheep that would follow JA over a cliff. Sorry that is how I feel and this is my last reply to this. No need to get into a big arguement.
I don't think they ever had them. Most ANACS certs I have seen, were not definitive to the coin.
I’d call it a very reasonably priced highly expert opinion.

HERETIC!!!!!
Yeah, I know. Tomás de Torquemada and his Tribunal of the Holy Office of the Inquisition will be stopping by this afternoon with a load of firewood, gasoline and matches. For kindling they use old blue coin folders and copies of Breen's Encyclopedia.
Roger, you know the problems, think profits.
The true torture would be making you read Breen's garbage before the proceeding.
I've heard through the grapevine that PCGS is considering a "notes" option/tier in the Fall.
Eagle Eye definitely has a die hard following in its niche. Many regard it higher than CAC based on the IHC collectors that I've run into through the years.
Eagle Eye has the cachet of expert knowledge and opinion in a specific coin series. That adds meaningful value. A CAC sticker adds nothing but a confirming opinion of some assumed "grade" - no useful information.
I would like for the top 3 grading companies to offer obv/rev grades for an additional fee, then send it to CAC. Take it easy guys, I realize I'm pretty much alone with obv/rev grades. It's funny about that dislike for obv/rev grading, but on this very forum, when someone offers their coin up for grading most responders give an obv/rev opinion. Usually stating which holds the coin back a grade.
