I agree with others here, classic pci toning and all original. Beware of folks cooking the PCI holdered coins for a faster color change. Saw a couple just now when I checked this auction. They will show intense color spotting NOT normally seen on original pci coins. See below.
Love the green on the OP coin, but the asking price too steep for my blood. Fish with a great big hook, and you might catch great big fish.

If it was on a Morgan or Peace it would be called AT.
In fairness .999 silver tones much faster than .900 silver, but I am not a fan of most of the toned ASEs I see in straight graded holders to say the least.
I think the coin is beautiful and the toning is a classic PCI pattern, so I consider that NT. I have never seen green like that on an ASE before but I don’t doubt its source. I also think the price is high but I imagine there is room there and even if not, lots of toned coins end up selling for much more than I think they’re worth.

And I bet the original PCI label stated '100% White.'
I've never understood why people fixated on the 100% white label as evidence that the coin is NT/MA. Holders can be gassed and/or heated to accelerate the toning in which case I would not call the resulting pieces MA.

Whose fixated?I just made the comment based on my experience of seeing a large number of toned coins in "100% White" PCI holders.

Boring but the real thing. I pulled this one from an early card and can't remember what it said. I submitted 6 or 7 hand picked coins all came back MS 69.
Coin shows blue and russet color in hand.

Not you per se, but every time someone challenges the market acceptability of some of these coins there is usually at least one person that cites the label as proof the coin is MA/NT.

Gotcha! I just think it's funny (or ironic) to see a significantly toned coin in a "100% White" PCI holder.

collectors aren't "fixated" on the label, they are just stating what is accepted as fact within the Hobby. it's no different than the old "no-line fatty" NGC holders: there is a component inside the capsule which causes the coins to sometimes tone. certainly they could be "gassed" as you say but the resulting color and quality has its own characteristics which can be understood. that helps differentiate the two.
for the most part, perhaps universally within the Hobby, the PCI "100% White" and NGC "no-line fatty" holders are accepted as genuine. education is much more rewarding than angst. along this same line of thought, nobody ever questions the classic commemorative coins with "tab tone" and that very distinctive pattern. GEEZ!!!! those are exposed and I suppose could be easily manipulated but we know what they should look like.

Wow, that's blinding!

Green has always been a "Money Color" and I expect this is no exception. it also has an interesting cert number.
Don’t stare too long. Sure is a beauty!
Nice, but not as crazy as yours @braddick! I still think you should get a TrueView for that one.
Mine isn’t as dramatic, but nice...

in my opinion anyway
No reverse picture, but very similar color.

I'm still a big fan of wildly toned ASEs.
Have toned ASEs ever experienced milkspots? Or do they generally not go together?
Ive never seen a toned one with milkspots, but ive seen the pci 100 whiter toners get slabbed but our host then change color again.

not for me, thanks
I love that you love it, and it is interesting.
Somehow I can't get too excited about toned modern bullion.
Absolutely stunning!
Very colorful but no thanks.
Same here, but it's still cool looking.
Define craziest. Craziest as in it is attractive or in a "I can't believe they graded it" sort of way?
Not for me either Ricko.
Fishy....
Dave
Modern toners are a no-no for me, even though I love toning. Plus, the asking price is crazy.
Always buying nice toned coins! Searching for a low grade 1873 Arrows DDO Dime and 1842-O Small Date Quarter.
Modern, Bullion not coins and AT...…..3 strikes and you are out!
I get that it's for some, and that's all good. Go to it. I won't run up the bid on you.
