What do y'all think?
Ive seen toned Morgans but peace and trade seem elusive and this 1873 has pleasing colors to boot

You sure don't unless someone is trying to hide something.
Cleaned and likely influenced by whatever agents were used to clean it. Yuck!
What toning?
I think I threw up a little in my mouth...
More like regrowth of secondary skin with funky toning after harsh polishing.
Laughable description:
"Uncirculated, but with an older cleaning. The coin is nicely toned and looks better than it appears in the pic."
Dipped, scrubbed, colored, artificially flavored and maybe treated with seaweed extract, too.
Surfaces wise this T$1 is more pleasing...
They don't seem to come with nice color very often. This coin spent some time with a home chemistry set. Even it not, I could never get past the hairlines.
I got this one from a fellow forumite a few years ago. I more inclined to think it got this way quasi-naturally, but I wouldn't bet the farm on it.
The coin on EBay is awful

Here are a couple of AU55 examples with a slightly nicer, more natural look...

The toning is not even good enough to hide all of the hairlines........
OINK
I like this one a lot! 😁👍

I weep that I sold the 1873 TD from my type set... strong 50 with understated pastel toning in the devices... {{{{sigh}}}}

I owned this nicely toned T$ briefly:
But the very nice toning hid a bunch of hairlines that you can not see in the photos. Probably would have graded PR61........

The coin in the OP has obviously been cleaned and either left with residues or has had a poor attempt at AT.... Cheers, RickO
