Interesting image and auction. Takes a bit to understand the caption as there is an image.

Secure-View photo not a True-View as the sniffer has a camera built in.

the cert number shows as an "Uncentered Broadstrike" but with no image. they probably just used an image as a template and cut/pasted their picture. a little shady and PCGS would probably be upset since it seems to infringe, but at least all the information is correct and they added not imaged.

Just enough seller fabrication that a buyer could use “not as described” to get their $ back.

I've "made" my own TrueViews before, but not sure I'd use it for an eBay listing.

I'd think it erodes PCGS's Trueview brand when a subpar image is included using their template and accordingly, I don't think it is appropriate to do so regardless of what disclaimers/annotations are included. JMHO

I think they just did what some others do when they get back
a coin as 'uncentered broad strike', and they believe it's an
off-center strike. It appears the listing is for the PCGS coin.

Not unusual to call these Off Center, from those who don't
want it to be, or believe it to be O/C and not broadstruck.

FAQ from the TV site (https://www.pcgs.com/trueview/):

What are the Terms of Use and who ‘owns' the image of the coin?

Note that PCGS retains the image rights to the coin and may use the imagery as we see fit. That said, you are free to use the TrueView images however you like. This may include online sales or Set Registry listings, personal photo albums, or the creation of wall art or other décor that feature your coins.

Has anyone asked @HeatherBoyd if the seller’s use of the modified TV is in keeping with the intent of the FAQ?

I guess I just did.

The FAQ being sited relates to the use of official TrueView images which owners are encouraged to use to help display or advertise their coins. The creation of images featuring the PCGS logo and or Trueview template that are not official products of PCGS is a trademark violation.
