Because the suckers keep buying the sales pitch, thinking they can score.
Where do they even get these from? Are these fake rolls and coins from China? or have they sourced rolls and are filling them with generic Morgans. How do they get the rolled ends? How do they do it? Its very aggravating seeing it over and over again all over the bay.
Oh boy !!!
They sell the end crimpers right on eBay. They have a bunch of different types. Just another way of counterfeiting right?

Is there a way to tell the real old bank rolls apart? Or do they have stamps to put on there rerolls as well?

I’ve never bought one of those rolls with key date enders on them. Always thought it was a scam. Then I came across these crimpers on eBay and that pretty much confirmed it. I’ve pealed open my share of rolls right out the box enough to know. But when you look at the ends they just don’t look like a factory crimped end. They just don’t. It’s like the tool doesn’t do a good job or they just suck at doing it. And they are not smart enough to the key date coin in first against the pre-crimped tube. They put it in last and then put their crappy crimp on it and then take picture.
Oh well, gotta be a detective in this hobby.

This scam has been going on for years.... and it obviously works since it has proliferated. Tuition is expensive. Cheers, RickO
