RIP LLoyd. He loved his toners. Spent many along conversations with him on the phone. Every conversation with Lloyd was long now that I think of it. A very nice man

"call him up" Have not heard that used since Moby Dick was a minnow. I know a baby whale is a calf.

Southern thing. Edit to add may he rest in peace.
Folks "up nort" have used it too, just not so much lately.
Lloyd / @bestclser1 was a great member here and posted some beautiful coins. He will be missed!
RIP Lloyd.
Here's a coin of his touched by several forum members. It was made by @illini420 who sold it to Lloyd, after which it was stolen. Then @bigjpst purchased the coin, and upon realizing it was stolen sent it back to Lloyd without asking for any payment. It's great when the community comes together.

Thanks for posting that Merc Dime again, still one of my favorite Mercury Dimes and one of my favorite coin stories. Still remember buying that coin raw in a dirty flip hung up at a local shop's bid board many years ago.
Sad to hear. Used to spend a lot of time on the phone with Lloyd and saw a lot of his coins. He had some great and interesting stuff, and surely had an interesting life and stories to tell.
I can share quite a few pics of his stuff but this was always one of my favorites. NGC 65*PL CAC

RIP Lloyd.
I'm shocked. I haven't spoke to Lloyd in a couple of years. He had a wild personality and loved his toners. Rip Lloyd, you will be missed.
I bought this Micro S from Lloyd several years ago.
