The Grade is AU-55
Been gone a while, though I would re-introduce myself with a NEWP and GTG.
This coin caught my eye, and I was luck to win it in auction. Slab is an older ANACS small white.

The die erosion in the fields and especially on the nose is pretty cool.
I see rub, but feel it's in a MS60 holder or Net Details for Spot Removal.
62 would be my guess.
That die was about to fall apart by the looks of it.

The die breaks and erosion were what drew me to this coin. This die was on it's last legs.

Looks all of 63 to me.
I would guess MS-62. I absolutely LOVE the die erosion on this coin! The die cracks and breaks are beautiful and that MM is just a complete mess. That one would be most welcome in my collection. Nice buy!
The die that struck that coin was very nearly terminal. I'd say MS62.

The grade is in the first post. But you guys have me thinking about sending this one in for cross over. Thank you everyone who responded.
IMO this coin is in a very gray area for grading, Since the die was near terminal and the strike was weak do you grade taking into consideration those aspects or do you straight grade it based on the strikes of the average '21 S.
Are there interruptions in luster? It could very easily be that some of what we were considering to be due to a weak strike is from wear.
Nice die breaks looks like that set where at the end of life!

The luster is intact, but it does have quite a few hits in the devices.
