PCGS Member Show

I’m going to my first PCGS member show in New Orleans next week. Any advice from those of you who have attended these shows?

Expect to be the only collector in the room at times. Take full advantage of this as the dealers at these shows are a wealth of information. Come hungry. Stay for the auction if possible.

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
Thanks Mark!

I've been to a couple of these. It's a relaxed atmosphere and several of the dealers let me look through everything they brought. I ended up buying a couple of nice coins at the San Antonio show. Be prepared for the afternoon ice cream.
I went to one in San Antonio last year.
It's a more intimate setting than the big regional shows. It's mostly dealers, but it's a leisurely atmosphere and everyone has time to visit and chat. It's a great opportunity to make new friends, get in-depth wisdom and info about the biz and about coins in general. You have lots of time for unhurried perusals of many nice coins, and coin auction viewing.
I wouldn't miss it if I were you, if it's not too hard to get to.
Here's a warning parable for coin collectors...
I have been to the show in New Orleans three times, I think. It is great.
That photo brings back memories.
WIsh I could this time too. I will be at a business meet in Orlando, so not a total loss!!
Have fun!
