What is going on with this 73CC trade dollar? Corrosion? or Fake?

Came across this 1873 CC trade dollar and was wondering what is everyones opinion of this coin?
it has potato cam pics but it looks like pitted surfaces, mushy details and weird toning.
The toning seems inconsistent with most toning I have seen.

    Another product from you "favorite" Chinese minter. I wish it would go home and get turned into an auto fender or something useful.

    Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible.
