Double Wow! Metal detecting find!
Thanks for sharing my friend!
Astounding @ricko!!!!
I would love to acquire one of those Buckhamshire Edward I pennies to go with my Edward I penny of the Welsh beach find 'Angelesy Hoard' from the 1320s.

Thanks for the share, good for those guys. I bet that was one hell of day.
Hope they get to keep some of it.
I love to read about these hoard finds. Hope they can do something with the bent up gold coins.
Later, Paul.
Amazing, love these stories !!!
And this is why I dig the old ground in NJ and Pa. Peace Roy

Oldest MD find I have made, I don't detect a lot, is a 1917 cent in the backyard of my old house. I would sheet my breeches if I had the pleasure of digging up gold nobles.
@SaorAlba .... So very true.... a find such as that could induce cardiac arrhythmia, or worse, in some people... Cheers, RickO
Cool story Ricko. Did anyone notice how thin the coins looked?
I have never found a coin detecting. Strange as it sounds people just did not lose change in the desert. They probably had none to lose. You guys that live in areas that are "old" can dream of such things as pine tree shillings and 1792 half dismes.
