A coin graded EF+ thirty years ago may be considered to be valued as a commercial uncirculated today.
The current edition of Spink Coins of England & The United Kingdon says 975 pounds and up for this coin, but that means almost nothing until the coin can be inspected by a professional.
Ah,that coin if MS63 is going to be worth a lot more than 975 - I saw where one sold at London Coin Auctions for 1400 pounds and it was only "about Fine".
Well, just Love coins, period.
If 'London Coin Auctions' is the same eBay dealer that I am thinking of, their asking prices are toppy. Perhaps we are thinking of different dealers.
I simply took the lowest price that Spink printed.
My experience on these UFO coins is that they tend to come in at a lower condition than one hopes for, and that many have "details" issues. That is, IF IF IF one ever sees them at all.
That sounds like a great coin.... if in good condition, it is a real treasure. Cheers, RickO
Is this the right forum? Did they eliminate the world coins forum?
hmmmmm,

It’s right over there...
