Never had this happen with an eBay seller...NOT a horror story...

So I received shipment of two HK-398 Panama Canal completion medals in a priority shipping box. It was wrapped up in the usual fifteen pounds of cellophane tape that takes nothing short of dynamite to remove all of it.
Inside were neatly folded, quality paper towels. Within the paper towels was a plastic Zip-Lock bag with yet another bunch of neatly folded quality paper towels. When I unwrapped this bunch of paper towels, I reached two separate two by two perfectly folded squares of paper towels.
When I unwrapped the two squares of paper towels there were two vinyl two by two flips each neatly wrapped it its own one dollar bill. This was the most fun I ever had opening a shipment.
I left the seller exceptional FB and followed it up with an email. Here is the contents of my email:
"Hi,
Received the medals today. You are probably the MOST imaginative shipper I've ever seen in all my years on eBay. When I was finally through opening the package, I had paper towels to clean my windows, a bag for my sandwich tomorrow, and coffee money for the morning to boot! I could NOT stop laughing. It was hilarious!
Thanks for the deal and the entertainment. I left you FB today."
Cheers
Bob

Just thought I'd post for a chuckle.
I take it the flips contained the medals, as well.
I would recommend not using the bag for your sandwich.
Also should another seller use TP instead of PT don't save it to wipe yourself either.
Love to hear stories like that !!!
Bob, sorry to tell you that you were shortchanged. I bought three coins from the same seller and my flips were wrapped in $100 bills instead of $1 bills.😄

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
I'm glad you are happy with the packing overkill.
Personally, I get very annoyed when something like this happens.
Usually, it involves a coin placed in a vinyl flip that has about ten feet of scotch tape around it and adhereing to the cardboard protective cover, which takes me forever to unwrap it.
I guess it's better than the alternative....having a loose coin sent totally naked in a mailed envelope.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo! would be correct.😈

I do appreciate sellers that package my purchase carefully.... at the same time, I sometimes feel like @DoubleEagle59 when it takes me 10 minutes and various tools to 'break in' to the package.

When I ordered a similar set of items from the same seller, the new environmental police from the usps or other agency were waiting to see what I would do with all the packaging discards and ended up wrestling me to the ground as I headed out to the dumpster with all of it.
Beats the 300 Ike’s I ordered that showed up in a thin plastic bag within a single flimsy box. When I picked it up from the porch it was leaking dollars.
That’s pretty cool alright👌🏻
I've considered packing a single coin by wrapping it in a paper towel, putting it in a ziploc bag, and then embedding it between two layers of Great Stuff sealant, separated with plastic wrap, sealing the box before it cured. I'd only do this on a lower value coin for a buyer I knew, though.

The only thing that irritates me is packaging that is one post office tear away from a lost coin.
That is a great story Bob.... I do appreciate good packaging though....and have had both good and bad experiences in this area. The bad experiences were more in the early days of ebay... though I seen many bad experiences still being posted here....Just received an ASE (birth year gift for family member) that was in a vinyl flip then sealed in corrugated cardboard mailer in a large padded envelope. Very secure shipping... Cheers, RickO
Fun stuff!

Thoroughly enjoyed your OP!
Beats the time I received something in a sandwich bag. Let me clarify: a used sandwich bag.
Good story..and good note to the seller...

Hey, at least they care enough to reduce/reuse/recycle.
