Very nice SBA, @Broadstruck. I particularly like the indent placement which covers her face. I also have a similar coin, but instead of indent, it is struck through detached clad layer. SBA face also covered, but showed up a little bit more. Like a veil.
@happycollecting I've known of that indent for 15 years, but it isn't mine just on my eBay watch list.

pity the poor Ms. Anthony, to be so sharply criticized by one that should be grateful for what the Suffragette's sacrifices have helped attain. we should remember that she was a Quaker and held fast to her beliefs which are very simple. to be honest, as an older woman she reminds me of my Great Grandmother.

the coin was despised from the start, remember when it was called a Carter Quarter?? it's comparable to the Twenty Cent Piece in that regard, close enough in size to be confusing and not readily accepted by the populace. as for the design, contemporary citizens didn't really like the Morgan Dollar, but so what, a small group of influential Politicians did even before they knew what it would look like!!
