I remember watching an episode of Storage Wars where the winning bidder open the storage unit and found a coin collection. Included in the collection was a Whitman album of 1941 to early 70's Lincoln cents that was partially filled with circulated examples of these cents. The winning bidder looked quickly at the album (which was shown to the TV audience) and quickly stated that the value of same was $200.00.

I’ve been lucky one time. The unit had a foot locker inside with a jar full of wheat pennies, Vietnam dong coins, and some Canada currency. Maybe 10 dollars face at tops. It happens, you just have to keep digging to get lucky.
I have never purchased a storage locker....I have been at sales of the contents of such lockers when the owner defaulted....I did buy a couple of items, however, never saw any coins. Season is starting here now, will watch for these again... I am sure the locker proprietor has pre-screened the contents anyway. Cheers, RickO
