Hello all, what is new?
It has been busier for me lately and I sort of missed interacting around here with you folks lately. I am waiting on a bigger submission at the moment, and coin buying has basically stopped. Not much appealing to me lately and scarce luck with varieties.
I got a little overwhelmed with the trolls here, a few scandalous eBay buyers, and the spam nonsense last month so took a little break. Been enjoying a little baseball and cards. Lookie what is new from Topps, unltra low print coincards! Just 15 for each denomination.
I hope everyone has been well.
Best wishes,
Rocco

Hi Rocco! That’s an interesting card. I was curious as to why they used a 1970 nickel and then realized the card design depicts the 1970 Topps issue. Hope you return to coins at some capacity. Sometimes it’s good to take a break and reset so to speak.
Have you been over to the card section of the forums? There are some really great guys there who are very knowledgeable and helpful.
I used to collect cards years ago and was pretty active on those forums. I sold my sports cards and used the funds to purchase gold and silver bullion...which then morphed into coin collecting. I did very well and made a tidy profit from cards.
Anyway...I hope you continue to post here from time to time as I enjoy your posts. I also love seeing your artwork on Friday’s in the Random Pic thread.
Take care!

Your coin buying hasn’t stopped you just took a different direction with the cards. Taking a break is a good thing and will re-energize you!
Noticed you had been a little quite, always nice to hear from you.

Good eye on the 1970 design, that is correct.
Yes, I have been frequenting the card forum here recently. It is fun over there, lots of friendly folks like here, and the trade a lot, which seems more rare on this side. Pshheeewwww! I did 3 trades this past week
I have not been into cards since 1993-4 as I recall. Trading cards were my first major hobby and obsession, I spent many hours as a kid organizing and looking over my sets.

I’m glad to see you back no matter where you’ve been or whatcha been up to 😊
Cool card by the way.
Welcome back!
I can vividly recall excitedly opening up my first pack of 1970 cards and being highly disappointed by the gray yuckiness of the cards.
Not one of my favorite years for Topps.
Welcome back @Aspie_Rocco.... Lots of members take breaks... glad you came back. Trick is, not to let things bother you that much... It is a forum, and as such, will go in cycles. Have fun...Cheers, RickO

Welcome back. So your absence was the reason my "likes" and "lols" count stopped. .
Good to see you back.

Here's a warning parable for coin collectors...
Hey Rocco you've been conspicuous by your absence.
Your cool card/coin is a hobby genre bender.
Speaking of baseball
I got to a historic game last night
Where is that guy ?

A lot of empty seats.
That's because the Red Sox are not there
