BREAKING NEWS: John Calipari fired after ten years at UK

After ten years as head coach of the University of Kentucky it saddens me to have to report that after a disappointing loss to Auburn yesterday and failing to win another championship since 2012...the University of Kentucky has decided to let Calipari go. Whether Calipari will go on to another team (UCLA is rumored, in addition to a possible NBA job) or retire remains to be seen. not a big Kentucky fan, but boy that's really tough to swallow. Not like they suffered through bad seasons. So difficult when one game is all that matters....a bad bounce here, a missed shot there and you're eliminated.

Too bad it's only a joke. Hard to achieve having 2 Final Four appearances wiped out due to NCAA violations. Not everyone likes their coaches and men like Bobby Knight any more. I would say, actually, the majority do not.
I think he’s one of the greatest coaches of all time. Bill Parcells and Mike Krzyzewsk would almost certainly agree since both men learned how to lead and coach directly from him. His mockery of the media was the best, he won three national titles spaced far apart (more impressive than one good team, to me) and he forgot more basketball than most will ever know.
