what is the first year of pokeman?
and the holy grail?
The first series of the pokemon card game was released in October 1996. In Japan, the first series of the card game was released by a company called Media Factory
At the height of the Pokémon craze in the late-90s, Charizard was the fan-favourite Pokémon. Even though there were shiny Venusaur and Blastiose cards, it was the Charizard card that stirred up the real fuss.
Even to this day, people are still excited when they pull this card in the 'reprinted' XY Evolutions set. While hoarders of it may be disappointed that the value of the card hasn't gone up that much over the years, a mint condition (graded by PSA) first-edition Charizard could be worth in the region of $1000 - $2000.
That is the only PSA 10 graded to date for this OPC set.
Some of my fav items! The Christopher Reeve postcard/index card is dated prior to the release of Superman I. So awesome. The UK wrapper from Topps Vault, great find. The Mexican #1 PSA 4 is such a great card, kind of a holy grail for Superman collecting in Reeve Era. Check the link above for everything else!

Just because
Here's the oldest "title" lobby card (11x14") I have - from 1928 silent movie.
The Cloud Dodger
The Cloud Dodger is a 1928 silent action film directed by Bruce M. Mitchell and starring real life aviator Al Wilson.
It was produced and distributed by Universal Pictures.
This fits nicely in my golf oddballs collection ...

My generic 'PWCC golf' search picked it up or I doubt I would have ever known of it either.
Here’s a signed card of Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Fats Domino. The card is from the 1957 Topps Hit Stars set.
