huge dead fan here. only got to see jerry once at the omni in atl, ‘95. was a youngin’ back then. remember wearing out several boots on maxwell IIs and eventually spending my extra cash on dick’ picks cds.
Saw them in Boston Music Hall in the winter of 72-73 or 73-74. New Riders of the Purple Sage opened. None of the four of us had tickets but were able to buy the outside for face price or close to it.
Picked up some 1966 Batman sets today. These are not your basic Topps sets. These are the Topps UK sets which are much more difficult to come by. Also, got 2 sets of the Fan Club backs, UK issued. These may be the rarest of them all. I got 1 OPC red back set, 1 regular back Topps UK and 2 of the Fan club back UK.
Also, for those that don't know, these are not your standard size cards. Issues in the U.K. these A&BC cards are a bit smaller than our standard size cards

Great Stuff!!
this is some kind of Topps Buy Back, someone sent it to me a few years back
A coffee table book that I picked up awhile back at a thrift store, filled with vintage photos.
And also 2 100 card sets. One in color and one in black and white. Every photo shows all 5 original band members in each photo, as if they were publicity photos or press conference photos. Some I've seen before, or at least similar photos as if they were taken from the same roll of film. I have no back story on when they were produced or even if they're authentic or bootleg. They do not have a copyright on them, and the backs are blank. They are printed on a white card stock, and the color set has "Imprime en France" on them, while the black and white cards just have the flag of France. They are slightly bigger than a standard sized baseball card. While they do fit in the 9 pocket pages, it is a snug fit as they slide in.
I believe I've posted this before in another thread, but I still own the Super Friends metal lunchbox that I used to take my lunch and snacks to school in my early years. It's in surprisingly good shape, all things considered, and even somehow acquired a Philadelphia Eagles sticker on it, even though I doubt I knew anything at all, whatsoever, about the NFL at that time. It even still has the thurmos...Batgirl! Yowza!
Let me start by saying these are not your normal series 1 Topps Star wars cards. Most of you might think, ahhhh, those are O-Pee-Chee! Wrong, these are the Topps UK version. Got some in today and absolutely amazed at the condition of these.
Here’s my contribution to this cool thread. It’s a card I rarely - if ever - get to post. Those of a certain age may remember the term ‘betty’ for a pretty girl. Well, this Betty is Betty Schalow and she skated in the Ice Follies in the 1940s and 1950s in mostly midwestern America. The blond bombshell could skate and was easy on the eyes which lead to a few covers for the Ice Follies Program’s and posters and a spread in Life Magazine. This is from my favorite set.
1951 Wheaties Premium Photos Betty Schalow H (1 of 5 graded, tied for highest)
Curious about the rare, mysterious and beautiful 1951 Wheaties Premium Photos?
The King of Hearts. The King of Hearts is known as the “Suicide King” because it is the only king who appears to be sticking his sword into his head. There are two theories on the “Suicide King.” One: this was a result of centuries of bad copying by English card makers where the king's axe head has disappeared.

Another Deadhead here...THE great American rock n roll band. Saw Jerry 23 times, and still miss him.
Here's something interesting that I just found again.
A few years back, I purchased an NOS gum ball - card vending machine - c1950s.
Inside I found 28 - 1956 Topps Roundup cards in like vg/ex condition.
Appears to be an 80 card set grouped by famous names of that era like will Bill Hickok, Jesse James, Geronimo, Kit Carson e.g.
Here's 2 portrait cards included in the bunch:
Ya never know what's inside?
Good Lord, this is freakin cool!

ODDRODZ... Now, that's a name I haven't heard in a long time... A long time.
Oh, he's not dead... Not yet.
Something that's definitely in this arena.
I collect Lobby Cards from Sci-Fi/Horror movies of the 50s.
One of my favorites?
Earth vs. the Flying Saucers - 1956
Lobby cards are 11X14" - come in a set of 8 - the first being the "title card"
