Nice! @jwitten, are you going to cross it? If so, looking forward to the TrueView.
I like it a lot. Sold one many years ago and every once in a while I think about it.
it's crackers to slip a rozzer the dropsy in snide
That's a real beauty.

Did you have to pay a premium for the toning?
Worry is the interest you pay on a debt you may not owe.

It's possible. I have 6 free submissions left that expire soon, so I am thinking about using those to cross a few toners.
One of my all time favorite coins.

Good looking gold
Nice looking!!!
That is beautiful. I think I just became a fan of toned gold.
Sweet looking gold, congratulations !!!
I definitely like the look. Do you have any pointers on how to tell gold that's toned naturally from gold toned with iodine or the like? They seem to create very similar colors.
Maybe @billjones can chime in, since he's posted on this in the past.
Your coins are consistently unboring
Looking at the spreads, I'd cross-over with a minimum grade of 58.
Then let CAC sort it out
Very nice example of the type.
Very nice. Thanks for sharing.
I just trust pcgs and ngc. I've never had one that I've submitted come back AT, though I have had one come back environmental damage. I bought this one already graded.
The 1926 Sesquicentennial $2.50 is noted for copper spots and coppery toning. I have seen so many of these coins with copper spots that I’ve come the conclusion that the majority of the coins have them.
I have to confess that I don’t like this look. The toning is too dark and blotchy for my tastes, especially on Independence Hall, but everybody has their tastes. I think that the toning is natural. The color does not match up with the iodine treatment. I think that grade under the toning is accurate, but you have to like this look.
I like it, but I like crusty and toned gold, especially crusty.
What a beauty 😄
Really like those toned coins. Thanks for sharing.
Very nice, glad you were finally able to acquire one as I know you looked for a long time

Beauty!
That piece is awesome !! Nice score for sure.
I like the look. For a commem, the grade seems about right.
Beautiful!

I'm still waiting to get my hands on an "ex-Jewelry" gold coin so I can show you (with before and after images) how easy it is to "make" and then "restore" some "dirty gold" for yourself since it is the "rage" among many collectors at this point in time. It's similar to the "blue" Proofs. Now you see it, now you don't. It just takes a little longer.

Not sure if PCGS would straight grade it. But it’s a looker no doubt.
Sweet!! I love the look of the storm clouds coming in around Independence Hall.
I like the purple.
Something you don't see a lot of.

Wow! The magenta red toning on this coin is simply marvellous.. wished I had this in my collection... Cheers!
Actually, it's my coin. It beaned as A 62, I asked John to send it to cross. Now back to ja for a new bean. Pic to come when beaned. It was great working with John.
You have an eye for cool as hell gold...
Pretty

That's a gorgeous coin!
This is one of those cases where the Trueview doesn't do justice.
The luster that comes through in the original pics and the video clip when paired with the toning is awesome.

Thanks to all for the appreciative comments. This one grabbed me and wouldn't let go so to speak. I'm waiting to get it in hand to examine this beauty under magnification. Enlarging the true views piqued my curiosity about the strike.
It's a keeper and I consider it a most fortunate P/U. TBC.
Looks good in PCGS plastic!! Kind of wishing I had not sold it! lol

Very nice.
that looks pretty good, I like
Very glad it's mine. Off to CAC for new sticker. @jwitten is a pleasure dealing with.
