Another PCGS Conservation Question.

All of my coins that were submitted for conservation now have New PCGS Slab numbers. Is this a indication that all of them were conserved? If so I am really looking forward to what they will look like.

Grades posted today. Was into the PCGS system on 2-14. PCGS was right on the money with their time estimate. Should have them back late next week.

With PCGS Restoration, if they accept it, you will always get a new cert number. In my experience they do a great job, and the increased eye appeal afterwards has always been worth their very reasonable fee. If you get a higher grade, that’s “the cherry on top”. They guarantee the grade will not be lowered, and if they don’t accept your coin for Restoration, the cost is only $10 plus round trip shipping.

If you can post 'before and after' pictures it would be of great benefit to the forum....Many have had questions about the restoration process, this would help to satisfy some of the queries. Cheers, RickO

There you have it. Very pleased with the 18D and 17D. 26S is bright white but better looking without the splotcy tone.

Fantastic!!!!! You should be very pleased. Tremendous difference in the eye appeal, so three benefits:
1. When it comes time to sell, either by you or your heirs, these coins will now sell easier.
2. Chances are you now have a better chance of receiving "fair" value when sold compared to the lower eye appeal of the previous versions.
3. Most importantly, you can now enjoy these beauties much more easily than before. @Fairlaneman, take pleasure, and enjoy!

These are perfect examples of the quality of work done by the guys and gals at PCGS Restoration. I've been using them for years. My only problem is that there are often times they choose to not accept a coin for Restoration (then it's only a $10 charge, but disappointing nonetheless).

I like how restoration brings out the luster, but unfortunately it uncovers some scratches too. Great dimes!

I'm going to have to disagree. I don't think the conservation did much for the coins. I actually preferred the look of most of them before conservation even though they didn't have good eye-appeal to begin with.

It seems many collectors prefer whitish coins with hairlines rather than dull coins with dark, splotchy, discoloration.

IMO the first 4 look better (although it looks like the 18-P was barely touched), and the last 2 look worse, but the last 2 are probably more saleable after the conservation.
