Yes that is the worst Redfield I have ever seen.

I read that Redfield stored many cans of peaches with his hoard of silver dollars and that some of the cans of peaches exploded and the juice got on many of the silver dollars.

Couldnt remember if it was crates or cans, either way peach juice toning. Ive had a dozen or so awful Redfields with this look. Was very tempted to crack and conserve, but left that for the next guy.
Yep, that's just not nice.
I have something in my fridge in a Tupperware container that has that same look to it.

I love and own many Redfield's. That is Nasty. Even a Father could not love that thing!

Oddly enough, the toning wasn't stated as one of the attributes of the coin.

I once worked in a canning factory in Wisconsin, and one week my assignment with another guy was to climb all over the stacked pallets in the warehouse to look for "bloats". Indeed, there were several incidents of exploded warehouse cans during that summer.
I knew it would happen.
Redfield stored his 400 bags of silver dollars (1000 coins per bag) in the basement of his house...the story goes that some of his wife's canned peaches exploded and spilled on some of the coins...this looks like one of them!!!
