Can I give two answers? I don't know if its' my favorite, but I like the novelty of this one:
This one is the mint mark that isn't a mint mark. The "D" on the Pilgrim is not for Denver and not even for Dahlonega. It's for the designer, Cyrus Dallin, who is my 1st cousin, 4 times removed.
According to relativefinder.org, George Washington, the 1st President, is my 3rd cousin, 9 times removed.
It's a cool website. It turns out I'm also related to PT Barnum, Elvis Presley, David Bowie, Meriwether Lewis, Susan B. Anthony, Davy Crockett, and GW Carver.
You'll also be glad to know that King George VI is my 11th cousin, 3 times removed.

Well I’m actually related to the John Adam! And also Adam and Eve!
It is the "cross-and-crosslet" mintmark adopted by the Llantrisant mint, the current location of the British Royal Mint. The symbol derives from the meaning of the Welsh name: "Parish of the three saints". Thus, the symbol is three crosses, arranged to form a single large cross. Sapyx,,.... Thanks again
I would have to say the CC mint mark... and too busy to go to the safe right now....and I do not want to appropriate someone else's picture..... Cheers, RickO

Here's one of my favorites! Sold it a while ago.
This is my favorite because it's on the back of my 1911 quarter eagle Indian
and signified the completion of the full set.

No one knows where this one came from. It hasn't been identified on any other U.S. coin except 1928 issues:
The 1928-S "Large S".
