I'm just wondering something...BTW, you have been utterly fantastic for the boards, as you come up with some rather interesting topics which leads me to my question...
Do you just sit around and try to come up with something, anything to start a new thread? I'm just wondering.
I would get Ray Ramano to play me. He's funny and a dope!
I'd say Tommy Chong. A comedy of errors and mistakes while entertaining myself with searching country wide for my next coin and simultaneously running out of weed and hanging out with a beautiful woman. Calamity ensues.
"May the silver waves that bear you heavenward be filled with love’s whisperings"
"A dog breaks your heart only one time and that is when they pass on". Unknown
I wrote a script that included the theft of a rare coin which I actually have in my collection. I guess I could play myself in the cameo role at the end of the story when the recovered coin is returned to the owner.
While I cannot imagine the investment of $100,000,000 in a movie about coins - anything is possible it seems. I would be well represented by Clint Eastwood... in many respects (most of which will not be discussed). Onward to fame and fortune on the silver screen.... Cheers, RickO

Yep, there was one episode on the Beverly Hillbillies where Drysdale tries to get Jed to invest in coins.
Drysdale is holding what appears to be a Whitman blue coin album.
Drysdale: "Now, wait, just take a look at these coins. This collection belongs to a friend of mine. You see that dime?
Jed: "Yeah."
Drysdale: "He paid $12,000 for that."
Jed: "He got slickered. A dime is only worth ten cents."
Drysdale: "Not this one, this was minted in San Francisco in 1894."
Jed: "You better help your friend, Mr. Drysdale. He needs you.
And hope he aint toting that dime when he gets a sweet tooth cause no matter what comes out of the machine, he ain't going to enjoy it."
"My friends who see my collection sometimes ask what something costs. I tell them and they are in awe at my stupidity." (Baccaruda, 12/03).I find it hard to believe that he (Trump) rushed to some hotel to meet girls of loose morals, although ours are undoubtedly the best in the world. I would like the 75 year old Connery to play me (think the movie "the rock"-and not the younger version) and my super cool rebellious dark side coin collecting nephew will be played by Henry Winkler
Movie should be coming out next fall. Its called Numismaniacs

Arnold Stang would have been good as Bochiman. Sadly he is gone too.

No actor is going to play me. Then again, neither will politicians or telemarketers.

I should definitely be portrayed by a "D-list", low-budget actor!!

I can't decide.....
Whoever it is it won’t be Danny deveto.
Not Henry Winkler?

If available, he would serve the project quite well.

Well, if we're going strictly by similar appearance, I've been compared to Chris Noth quite a bit.
10-15 years ago, we both looked like this:

Now adays, we're more like:

Sadly - my entire collection might rent him for an hour or two of filming, so it's likely to be a commercial more than a movie.
