    But the 31 looks at least a little oxidized, doesnt it? ;) I suppose we call this “original” rather than “toned” tho, right?

    That's just the pic. It's actually a bright white coin. I can't get to look like that with my camera without making it look washed out.

    Thanks dimeman. I’m always trying to learn more about the characteristics of “original surfaces.”

    Anyway thanks for all your images posted these days. On looking at coins like yours, it makes me think that chasing after FB designations is an almost frivolous pursuit. That is, “who cares! This coin is close enough!” 😀
