Posted this on treasure net last month, but as it seems slow here at the moment, here is my coolest find from the backyard:
I thought it to be just a clump of lead until I washed it off later on. This cavalry soldier has been guarding my property for the last 75 years or so, maybe more. I've got to reunite him with his horse. I'm sure hes down there somewhere...waiting to ride again!

That is AWESOME.. very good find and story.
Interesting find....Imagine the young lad that was playing with those in his yard... and where he may be now.... Did he pursue a military career? Or change his direction as he grew older? Fun to think about these things. Cheers, RickO
