Just who is actually wiling to pay those prices? How is the price guide put together? I'd be much more interested in how much the author of the price guide will PAY for such items.

They list those numbers on the left side bar along with this: “The values represented here are based on sales results, auction results, and information derived from overall percentage based values given for lower grade specimens in other guides and sales sheets. It is not intended to be interpreted as a buy or sell price nor intent to purchase on behalf of this site. It is only to be used as a guide.”
@Hannah .... Welcome aboard.... I can see you are quite excited by what you believe you have found... however, the pictures are not of the quality necessary for us to confirm or negate your belief. Certainly you have magnification, but not focus clarity. Cheers, RickO
That coin's doubling is so minimal I would rather have one with heavy machine doubling. But if your coin is attributed as ddo then it will fill someones space, nice find.

We'll never be able to help you from those pictures.
Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.
So what is it supposed to be? What did Rick say about his coin with the same scratches?
All I see is a scratch (not a die scratch) across the Lincoln Memorial....

I do recommend you review a couple books: Cherrypickers’ Guide and the Red Book of US Coins.
Good luck in your hunt!

What is the goog link?
Need a clear, SHARP image of just the reverse.
If you Google 1981 D Penny. It is 1981 D Penny DDO. A forum that Rick posted
Yes, I see. I posted the Cointalk link earlier.
Also here are a couple more for you to check your coin to see if it matches:

There are the 2 vertical down his chin and the 3 kind of parallel lines horizontal back of his head.
Going to need clearer pics to see what you are seeing.
Another lincoln cent post
.
The

Parallel lines are below the D. They are 3 short lines almost parallel. The 2 down his chin are pretty deep.
I can tell its a lincoln cent but thats about it.
Sorry, pics still not clear enough to see what you see. You need to crank up the resolution (not zoom) then take a pic, crop, then post.
From Coppercoins.com these are the values if it is a DDO to see if it is worth the time/effort.

Guess where I would put this "guide".
Makes for a good chimney fire starter material for a barbeque.

Was that for posting over-magnified photos of scratched coins?
All comments reflect the opinion of the author, even when irrefutably accurate.
No idea, but this appears to be the last post: https://forums.collectors.com/discussion/989722/bie
If no one else will say it, I will..........That coin has to be worth a million dollars.
