Silver?

What is a reliable website to see price of silver? I've been told the price changes everyday. I found a nickel made of silver and my wife asked me what is the value but I could not give her an answer. Thanks for the help in advance.

The spot price of silver and gold changes every few minutes. APMEX sells precious metals in every shape, style, and size. Check them to see what they are charging to get an idea of retail value of a specific coin or bar. Also, they show current spot prices for precious metals.

Kitco has a smartphone app that works well. You can stay updated on Ag, Au, Pt, Pd, and Rh.

So is it the bid, high, low or ask that tells you the priceBid. Note that kitco considers the "Last" price to be the current bid:
The price of gold is set by faith, or lack of, in the currency it is priced in.

Nickel made of silver?
Are we talking half-dime or war nickel? Or is it really made of nickel?
War nickels 1942-1945 have some silver. See Coinflation.com

I knew it would happen.
NGC has a great silver spot price web page where they tell you the spot price of specific U.S. coins such as a silver Roosevelt Dime or a Morgan dollar. They do the same thing for gold too. They show you the spot price of $1 gold coins, half eagles, or double eagles. I recommend looking up NGC value of silver ** or **NGC value of gold. 👍
War nickels.
35% silver, 56% copper, 9% manganese
I track silver prices here: https://silverprice.org/silver-price-history.html

This page allows me to view the chart for the past X days, months, or years. I like seeing a graph of the recent historical trends rather than just the number for today.
At this page on coinflation, you can see the silver value in dimes, quarters, halves, dollars based upon the current silver rate: http://www.coinflation.com/silver_coin_values.html
My strategy is about collecting what I intend to keep, not investing in what I plan to sell.
Www.coininfo.com is where Iook for a daily price.

I use Kitco on a daily basis for gold and silver.....They have good history charts too... Cheers, RickO

This. I use them all the time to look up historical spot prices, not only Au and Ag, but Pt and Pd, too.
I agree, conflation is a great site if your trying to see what a particular coin is worth in regards to the silver content at any given time.
Coinflation link top right corner of this page.
It's one thing to know the Bid/Ask for silver
And another thing knowing how that applies to coins. (such as new and well worn)
