I got a bit lucky. I thought the slab shot in this auction showed more promise and that's what attracted me. That, and 14-S was the weakest coin in my set to that point so I was looking for a higher grade BN 14S. Certainly I did not know it was a blue bomber! After the auction ended i found out the underbidder was Andy at AngelDee's -- who thought it was 66BN. (Upgrade potential). Sometimes you need skill and sometimes you need luck.
This is what the Legend Slab Shot looked like (I think they scan their coins, which usually underplays the color).

I think that I would send that coin in for a TrueView. May or may not lose the green bean, but I think a TV is more significant than a green bean.

Perfect example of a copper coin that has toned Red. Calling a mint fresh copper coin Red has never been an accurate grade description. Just means that coin grading is truly 100 years of tradition unhampered by progress.

There is an area centered at the C in CENT that is untoned, so I can see a RB grade.

I'm not sure what went wrong when I posted my pics. Why does it not show as a picture without clicking on it first? I guess I'll figure it all out given a bit of practice.

@9Sec93LX It takes a while ... There are lots of folks here who are eager to help although I am not the most computer-literate guy in the world ... For the longest time I couldn't post photos here either ... Now I finally can. I think PCGS made it easier, or else I finally got smarter. What I do to post photos is, I generally have them saved already in my Photo Library and then I click the little "moon over the mountain" icon (far right above when you are composing a note). Then I browse to the photo I want ... in this case one that I bought yesterday on Instagram from a fellow who has not yet even got it in his possession, much less sent it to me ... But it's a nice one!
Then the forum software inserts some gobblegdygook telling it about the photo ... I click Preview to see if I like the way everything looks and click Edit (as here if I want to say more) ... Then Post Comment.
This may help or not ... It's the way I do it. PS It does look like your second photo above was pretty tiny to start with. Good luck and stick with it!

That's a gorgeous 1941-D. I can see that as a BN or RB. It's always worth another try.

I am thinking the color could bump the grade to an MS67+. I believe an MS67+ would be worth much more than an MS67.
