I might have misunderstood "mint" as mintmark. If this is truly a 1982 cent that was never minted , it truly is rare... and it takes up ZERO room in your collection

It is the copper D mint (Denver) small date that will command a premium ask price. Good luck in your search. Enjoy the place. It is fun.
