KISHU1KISHU1 Posts: 2,290 ✭✭✭

The first sunday of every month this show was very busy with only 2 open tables
Here is a sampling of coins and paper money
90% Silver was being bought at 10.5 X Face and sold at 11.5 X Face with little activity
One dealer had NGC MS63 Morgans @ $45 and raw AU Peace dollars @ $25 these were nice
Several holed gold dollars @ $110-$130
3 Doily slabs with Commems in them much higher than bid, the dealer has had these in his case for at least a year
Small size $20 note New Brunswick in MS64 with a serial #0000001!!! He wanted $2,500
Various Englehard silver bars with loafs and other shapes with low serial numbers trading at a premium

If you have any questions about the above let me know

Frank D

Thanks for the report...Quite informative. The Morgan market certainly does seem slow - except for colorful tarnish or CC coins 65 and above. Interesting about the gold.... Seems to be a busy local show. Cheers, RickO

That has historically been a good one day show with good deals that usually get snapped up first thing by sharp dealers; if you get there after 930, usually not a lot of good deals left.
