Do the Eyes have it?

The Q&A Forum suggested I post this in this forum to hopefully get some feedback from here.
The 2018-P seems to be missing it's eyes compared to a normal 2018-P. Any thoughts??
All opinions welcome!!

Pretty cool - probably grease filled die.
My first thought was grease but the eyelids seem well struck up. so maybe a heavily polished die?
That's my guess, too-a heavily polished die.
That’s spooky looking!

It's an odd one
The loss of low relief detail suggests an over-polished die. I don't think I've ever seen one that pronounced on such a recent issue. Instead of a three-legged buffalo, it's a blind Thomas Jefferson!
That is cool, Jeff has been zombified!
I meant to add that it is a very neat find!
V. cool- I've not seen one of those yet. Hopefully @FredWeinberg will look at it. Like was said before, a bit spooky-looking
Check out my current listings: https://ebay.com/sch/khunt/m.html?_ipg=200&_sop=12&_rdc=1
Now that is a neat find.... If I had that one in change, it would definitely get a place in my collection.... I like odd coins like that... Cheers, RickO
Poor guy went blind after seeing what's happened to Jeffersonian Democracy...
Or...on a happier note he turned into a (mindless) zombie as Hemi noted. Bit by __________ (fill in blank). Left face-off too!
(BTW cool find - a keeper)
Just temporary as they will reopen when the shutdown is over
I like it! And I'll be looking for one. What part of the country do you live in DiggerJim? Stuff like this, as well as most doubled dies are released regionally.
@koynekwest I'm just outside of Detroit Michigan

I don't know what would cause that but its pretty neat looking
HAPPY COLLECTING
Whoa, that is cool

Well, I'm not too far away here in Northeastern Ohio. Maybe there's a few circulating around here.
Pretty neat !!!
Agree. @DiggerJim If I lived there I'd be buying boxes of nickels at the bank looking for more.
I like the look of that coin. I have yet to find anything that dramatic in loose change, maybe I should start examining more closely.

It does look like an overpolished die. If so, there are enough of these out there to be popular enough to be promotable in the pursuit of Obscene Profit™. Pretty cool!

I agree with over-polished die. Notice how cheek blends in with the field just above Liberty.

An Orphan Anne nickel!
Aye!
Cool eyes.

Well I appreciate all the positive comments. So if this coin has any value how would I go about finding out what the value is. Should I submit this to PCGS as a variety? Or any other direction would be appreciated.
Thanks

Value comes from demand. Demand comes from either a Well Managed Promotion™ or from stirring up grass-roots interest. Contact Coin World or CONECA to see if this is known yet. See also the 2005-D "Speared Bison" nickel.
