    I see that a lot with Zinc pennies. A few I've see look like they have woodgrain.

    Not a big fan of the zinc pennies....

    It’s gas bubbles from when the applied the copper plating. The 1982 is notorious for bubbles due to it being the first year applying the copper to the zinc
