Albert Einstein himself stated "I'm not an atheist, and I don't think I can call myself a pantheist ... I believe in Spinoza's God who reveals himself in the orderly harmony of what exists, not in a God who concerns himself with fates and actions of human beings".
If it was my coin it would have received "uncirculated details, questionable toning."

All you expert graders should be applying for jobs with both the grading companies. If you can all grade that well from a picture imagine what you could do if you had it in hand.

Nope. No cigar - not with those cheek marks and reverse spots.
I'm guessing those are toning interruptions and not contact marks, given the grade. Which is why, especially with those pics, nothing productive relative to the OPs inquiry can he accomplished here unless someone here either owns it or has seen it in-hand.
I bought one of my favorite coins from this seller. Saw it on ebay went to his site and saved $150. Price was good, not cheap but definitely not outrageous. What the heck...this coin.
The pictures suck, especially for a $168k coin. Could be anywhere from 64 to 68 based on such shoddy images. If they are serious about selling it, they should have one of the leading coin photogs image it like Mark Goodman.
Thank you for the follow up. Would the guarantee be retroactive to the earlier graded holders?
Numismatic Guaranty Corporation® (NGC®) has announced that its comprehensive guarantee of grade and authenticity has been expanded to cover GSA Hoard Morgan Dollars that have been graded by NGC in their original black GSA holders. This update will be applied retroactively to include all NGC-certified GSA Morgan Dollars and will supersede the language on the back of the NGC GSA certification label.
Poor eye appeal (tarnish/toning and scratches) of the obv is enough to say it's not a 68.. Probably a 65 from what I can see in the pictures. The rev is much better.. That's possibly a 67 or 68.

Those could be toning breaks. I don't think NGC would overgrade by 4 grading points, and at least 2 graders there felt MS68 was appropriate. Would be interesting to see BluCC's photos, but he probably cannot share them unless they were in a public for sale listing.
I have invoked their grading guarantee on some coins, I would be interested to know if they have ever paid out on GSAs certified by them? When you get up to MS66 and above coins the grading services are a lot more careful usually.

For anyone who questions "grading by the images provided" -- Isn't that what the OP requested in the first place? That's exactly what was provided... by me anyway... an opinion, based on the images provided. If there's an expectation to offer a solid, no questions asked grade about the coin, then by all means, offer better images. Obviously, the "pronouncements" might change if other images were provided, or even better, if the coin could be viewed in hand.

Would you jump off a bridge of your friends (OP) requested you to?

Depends on the bridge, but yes; been there, done that. ;-)

I am not an expert, but I would not grade that one at 68.
MS68? With all those small cheek marks, I'd call it MS65 on a good day.
The reverse looks 68 ( maybe)
No way to tell if it's a technical 68 from those pics but who would buy it without seeing it in-hand unless they just want the cert number.
66 tops IMHO
Sure does not look 68 in those pictures....and surely would not spend that much money on a coin that looks like that....Cheers, RickO
Nice and clean, but 68 is tough to get.
Reminds me of a similarly toned 85-CC graded MS68.
NGC as I recall does not guarantee the grades in GSA plastic.
It's a gorgeous coin. I couldn't offer a grade based on those images.
I remember when the press release was announced for that coin being graded a few years ago.
Andrew Blinkiewicz-Heritage
Another common coin with pumped-up numbers.

I think they do now as that allowed them to be CAC eligible again.

Company has carried lots of high end GSA coins years. That coin will sell.
If it was my coin it would have received "uncirculated details, questionable toning."

Hard to tell anything from those pics..

What TONEDDDOLLARS said.
Note on the reverse label states that they do not.
That is an old band that was replaced a couple years ago. Here is the newer one.

I may not count, but I have imaged it. It was for a different seller though.
Wow I dont see a 68 there but that's just my opinion
HAPPY COLLECTING
Oh, the 68 is there all right, as in $168,000+!! Yikes!
Unless you are just looking for bragging rights, just get a nice 66 ( which that may be ) and buy lots of other nice coins.
Seems like a serious stretch to call that a 68. Not nice toning in my opinion.

I like his 1884 MS67 DMPL better. He has a lot of great GSA's listed

If you're asking a fortune for a coin maybe spending $10 on professional imaging should be a thing....
BINGOOOOOOoooooooo!
If only people actually realized that there’s no way they can accurately make such pronouncements off those images. Sigh
I said this earlier but many think they can do it. Certainly better than me

Not only it's sooooo expensive ...... I don't see 68 there
@robec can definitely come up with superior pictures to at least justify the asking price
pass
It's a PCGS 66+.
Don't quote me on that.
Talk about drinking the koolaide

Impossible to accurately grade from the photos...seems like bad value at 168K regardless IMHO

Grading off a picture is tough enough. Add toning and it’s a big pass for me.
Depends on the bridge, but yes; been there, done that. ;-)
