A brief FUN show report

My first FUN show, and I wasn't disappointed. The size of the show was about what I'd anticipated based on the number of dealers on the list in comparison to other shows I've been to. I've heard that the ANA in August is more elitist and attracts mostly high end, full time dealers, as opposed to a wide variety of part timers, small timers, and big timers. Variety is good (as are varieties ;)

I got a bird's eye view of the Convention Center on approach to MCO. The show is held on the far left side of the massive convention complex on International Drive in Orlando. This rectangular building at top, where the show is held, is only 1 of perhaps 3 sizable complexes...from what I've heard, the 2nd largest meeting space in the country. IMO, there is no better location anywhere to hold a large coin show. This is a great area with ample hotels, restaurants, nightlife, and so on. Everyone I encountered from start to finish was supremely friendly, even most dealers. I love the vibe and attitude in Orlando.

The expansive bourse floor was jam packed both during dealer setup as well as on Thursday and Friday morning, and probably after that as well.

A man's gotta eat.

Til next time.

I'll try to get some pickup pics posted here soon!

    Mmmmmm, burger.

Nice pics. Yes let’s see those newps!

It was my first FUN, too, and I casually walked into the main North/South Convention building ready to rumble .... only to be told I’d need to walk another 20 minutes to the West building.. lol. That N/S building is indeed massive.

You definitely need to know where you're going and when at this show. I studied the layout map of the Convention Center on their website ahead of time, and still got turned around more than once.

That aerial view just shows how massive it is. Thanks for sharing the pics and looking foward to the later pics.

Nice show report. With two types of mustard, it must have been one of those 5 star restaurants.

Damn, that burger looks pretty good. How was it?

Not as good as it looks, actually. Hotel food rarely is.
