Newp 1938 S Jefferson. Thought I would share.

I had the opportunity to attend a Card, Coin, and Collectible show today in Tempe AZ. It was actually more of a sports card show as it turned out, but there were 2 coin dealers there. I picked up this 1938 S Jefferson because I really liked the look, almost proof like. Note the die polish lines on the reverse. The only downside for me was the lamination on the reverse, which I believe limited the grade. It still came home with me. Comments welcome.

Nice coin! I like Jefferson nickels... first series I started collecting when I found a silver one in my change.

Cool! I love Jeffersons. Here's mine from my album set.

First year type . . . semi-key . . . nice grade!

Nice coin. Illustrates PCGS's wishy-washy policy of straight grading some planchet flaws but not others. I have seen many MUCH SMALLER planchet flaws end up in Genuine holders.
Nice looking Jeff! I don't think the lamination limited the grade, looks like a solid 65 to me.

OK... I have had a couple of Cabernet's with dinner, but that is a nice Jefferson and what lamination? I see some type of aberration... not sure it is a lamination though. Cheers, RickO
I like it and the small lamination wouldn't bother me a bit.
