Morgan Proof Like?

Not sure if these are proof like Morgans but I’d like the opinions of some others and if I should get them graded. Thanks

Yea they are polished/damaged. Send them back if you can or ok for silver content. :s

Perhaps you could exercise a little "forum etiquette" in the future by combining your similar inquiries into one post. You have already created six postings this morning.

Patience. That's all right; he's just a little excited with this new found avenue of learning.

I don’t really see how more posts is a bad thing? Will note for future posting, thank you.

@Matt1701 .... Welcome aboard... Yes, those Morgans have been highly polished and all numismatic value destroyed.... Still have silver value though...Cheers, RickO

Try to go to a coin shop and/or a coin show and learn what a prooflike dollar should look like. Proof like dollars are not rare. Take a good hard look at them and compare them to what you have. In my eyes, the dollars you posted should be tossed into the cull bin.

If you want some graded common coins, just buy them already slabbed. Grading costs money, and most new collectors are years if not decades away from needing a grading service. In my opinion, you should not be buying potentially gradable coins raw as a new collector.

Cleaned and polished. Belt buckle use is about all that remains of those.

    :(

I would make sure that I wear a sweater that goes over my waistline if I had a belt buckle with a polished coin on it. ;)

Cleaned and polished, return to seller if possible. Matt1701 stick to PCGS graded coins at first to learn before buying/submitting raw.

A suggestion if your budget allows:

Decide on a series you like, talk to a reputable dealer, and build a grade set of the series in PCGS holders. Say AU55 MS60 MS63 and MS65, possibly a MS67. That way, you have coins you can use as a point of reference.

Also agree with others that a grading book would be a wise purchase.

Send them in you never know what could happen. Both look really nice. Probably 68s or better.

@matt1701 The host of this forum has a good video about cleaning... skip to about 5:35 for cleaning specifics.
