Likely grade on cc $20?

This one sold quickly yesterday, another unknowledgable collectibles dealer who did not run it right leaving too much on the table. How would you grade it? https://www.ebay.com/itm/1875-Double-Eagle-20-034-CC-034-Carson-City-Yellow-Gold-Coin-/273636535840?hash=item3fb6022e20:g:A2sAAOSwdGZcLPY8&nma=true&si=Qz62%2FitjFCdvkbUa2SgBcBSs4mw%3D&orig_cvip=true&nordt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

My YouTube Channel
Possibly even a 58......
AU58
Wow, wish I'd seen that.....58 is my WAG.
bob
Reasons why you probably wouldn't--the seller listed it as an auction around $1500 as opening bid with a buy it now at $2500....
wow, as a 58 = $9,000
if it uncs $14,000
what a buy
BHNC #203
This is a great way to get a buyer and seller all riled up.
Maybe...maybe not...
Even if it’s cleaned it’s worth at least $2500.
Boy, I hope the coin still shows up.
Those are high retail price guide prices; more like $3K-$4K in AU50 and $5-$6K as a no problem 58. A lot of ifs, could have an edge issue, cleaning, etc., tough to tell from the images. Watchcount is a useful tool on how long listings were up; my guess is that there are people who are high tech in being alerted on all new promising listings and snap these up quickly.
Still, not a bad deal. I agree with the AU58 based on obverse, the reverse just lovely for such. I bought what turned out to be a 55 not long ago for 2100 and was going to flip it but like so kept it.
Well, just Love coins, period.
Why is that coin raw would be my first concern.
If everything pans out, it was a good purchase !!!
From those photos: Anywhere from AU Cleaned to MS62. A good to phenomenal deal as long as its genuine.
Exactly; possible $5K coins like that don't just materialize out of thin air or come from random "estate" sales. There is a story behind it, and another question is what kind of a seller doesn't do their research on value, there are lots of sites, even ebay forums have some knowledgeable tech-savvy people who would help other sellers ascertain value before listing.
Yes, genuine is the only issue here. I cannot condemn the coin from the photos, but I can't be 100% sure of it from these photos either. I admit to not being an expent in the Carson City $20 area. I've owned one in my life, and that was to fill a want list for a client when I was dealer. That piece was nice AU in PCGS holder.
