What if the reproduction is just on one side?

These are used by many dealers.

What do the other sides look like?

They have advertising messages, usually from coin and token and medal dealers. I’ll try to post a picture of one later. They have been around for years.

Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. P.S. I was not the one who introduced Carr in this thread nor were my initial comments specific to any one entity. There are plenty of businesses that produce deceptive, HPA non-compliant pieces.

Here, I just want to mention that whether or not Dan’s pieces are compliant with the HPA has not been fully agreed upon. Dan believes his pieces are compliant and is willing to defend himself in court. He’s already successfully defended himself from being expelled from the ANA by action from another forum member here. Many of his supporters also believe he’s in compliance.

I would say this is still up for debate but it seems like most people in the discussion have made up their minds so there is no longer debate, just differing opinions.

I say no to drugs and meat and animal cruelty and gas guzzling cars.

“Coin reproductions” is not a hill I am willing to die defending.
