The world's smallest clip

I found this nickel while searching rolls. It must be among the world's smallest clips, since if was any smaller it would disappear.
Sorry for the bad photos, but it was tough to capture the details.

May we see better 1st picture? Oh.....good morning
I had a gemmy 1921-S Walker with a clip like that once - it impacted the TPGs willingness to grade it.
What is now proved was once only imagined. - William Blake
If you want a Morgan dollar with a clip, it's going to either be a 1921 that looks like this or something very expensive.

Now what kind of roll searching thread would this be if the pictures are clear?

I had a really tough time capturing the reverse. Here is another try.
BTW, I am hoping to give newbies an example of a real error, no matter how small, that can be found in rolls.
Would that be considered a near miss.
I always loved that term.
No, it hit so it wasn't a miss. Might be more like an almost miss
Hey, would this percentage size clip on a dime be yet the "smallest"?
That happened to me 38 years ago... Luckily I married her
Good eyes to catch that roll searching. Almost a bowtie fantastic thread, but you pulled it out

I saved a dime that is so little off center it can hardly be detected.....some day my lowball off center will be worth big bucks. Can you imagine a registry with off centers by percentage and someone needed a low percentage (lowball) and I've got it!!
bob

We call that a 'rim clip'
....and I've seen smaller - called 'disc clips'
Think about it. A "near" miss which would be an almost miss.....which would be a hit.
Nice catch... it is pretty small.... Thanks for the pictures. Cheers, RickO
nice catch
The thread title is exactly what I wrote on the 2x2 with a clad Roosie in it. It is missing about 3 of the reeds on the edge but since it is Unc you can tell it's not from a hit. Just a novelty.
Successful BST deals with mustangt and jesbroken. Now EVERYTHING is for sale.
I've seen quite a few tiny micro-clips affecting only the rim that go unnoticed.
Sorry, not the smallest. Since metal will flow during striking, it's possible to have a clip that has the full expected diameter. See the zero percent clip I posted a while ago.

In this case, size doesn't matter. A clip is a clip. You found it, nice going. The hunt continues. Peace Roy

NO ... I think size matters, this would be a slight clip
Is the word slight actually used on slab labels? I was just being encouraging.
